THE MAN WITH THE BEAUTIFUL SMILE NAMED MFANAFIKILE MNDZEBELE, IS STILL LOOKING FOR THE GREAT LOVE WHILE CARVING THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOOD SCULPTURES THAT WE HAVE SEEN IN A WHILE.
The day of his birth, the 25th in June in 1980, was a Wednesday. A sunny day in the highlands of Swaziland. His father was already 82 years old. Fikile, as his friends call him, grew up in a large family with 6 sisters and 5 brothers.
His talent was put into his cradle, which is not surprising, because in Swaziland craftsmanship has been tradition for centuries. However, and here it comes: His wood sculptures stand out with their bizarreness and are not anything like carved giraffes, lions and buffaloes that everyone knows. This talent did not stay unnoticed and he was hired for House on Fire, one of the most versatile playgrounds in the world and a meeting point for artists in Swaziland.
